Description
A Cryogenic Fluid Central Supply Systems Verifier candidate is a qualified individual who can demonstrate competence within their scope and will be proficient in and experienced in the verification of Cryogenic Fluid Central Supply Systems covered by the ASSE Series 6000 Standard. Cryogenic Fluid Central Supply Systems verfiers are any individual who tests and verifies bulk medical gas/cryogenic fluid central supply systems or components supplying health care facilities.
In addition to knowledge of product installations, a Cryogenic Fluid Central Supply Systems Verifier is required to have a general knowledge of the applicable laws, codes, rules, listing agencies, and regulations from the federal, state, and local levels pertaining to medical gas and vacuum systems as well as knowledge of product performance, system and system component testing, documenting and recording, and medical gas terminology.
Medical gas systems and equipment covered in the ASSE Series 6000 Standard include health care facilities within the scope of NFPA 99, Health Care Facilities Code. Medical gas piping systems include vacuum piping.

A cryogenic fluid central supply systems verifier is only permitted to verify cryogenic fluid central supply systems. Maintenance, installation, inspection, design, and verifications require additional credentials.
Pre-Requisites for the Exam:
1) The candidates for the ASSE 6035 certification shall have two(2) years documented practical experience in the verification and/or inspection of bulk medical gas/cryogenic fluid central supply systems.
2)The candidate shall be in possession of a current ASSE 6030 Medical Gas Verifier’s credential and the completion of an additional minimum 16-hour training course covering bulk medical gas/cryogenic fluid central supply systems, conducted by a Medical Gas Systems Instructor certified to ASSE Standard 6050 who also holds an ASSE 6035 certification. (This course meets these requirements)
3)All candidates MUST obtain copies of the NFPA 99 2021 edition, NFPA 55 2023 edition, 21 CFR parts 210, 211, 820, CGA M-1 in print or digital form.
